Shop Class's Stained Glass Workshop has definitely been a hit. Classes fill up with little or no advertising on my part. Information about the class is getting out somehow, because Shop Class has received numerous donations of stained glass, tools and supplies. These donations help keep costs down and provides a wide variety of glass for student use.
A recent donation included a dusty and damaged unfinished panel featuring a swan. The couple that made the donation said that Mr. Taylor was working on the panel when a medical emergency stopped progress. After that, life got in the way and the couple eventually decided to give up stained glass altogether. Shop Class's co-owner, Pollie, found the swan and decided it deserved to be finished. She changed the background, but was able to save the border of "bubble glass" that is no longer available. The swan now resides at our home.
