With all the trees toppled in the hurricanes, several people have asked about the feasibility of slabbing them out to be used for lumber. My stock answer is that it takes expensive equipment and heavy lifting capabilities. However, Sean Pendergast will do a demonstration with his 36” and 18” Granberg Alaskan sawmill. He will also discuss chainsaw maintenance and blade design.
