Service Description
The Woodworking Fundamentals course is designed for novice woodworkers seeking to learn essential skills and techniques. Over the span of three sessions, participants will receive comprehensive instruction on the safe operation of woodworking machinery and tools. As a practical project, each student will create a laminated cutting board using cherry and maple wood, which they will be able to keep upon completion. Course Structure: The course combines informative lectures with hands-on experience. Lectures will cover topics such as the nature of wood, proper techniques for gluing, wood grading, considerations for purchasing wood, and principles of design. The hands-on component allows students to apply what they have learned by working directly with tools and materials in a supervised setting. Registration and Materials: Enrollment for the course is $235. Each session is limited to a maximum of six students to ensure individualized attention and instruction. All necessary materials for the course are provided.
