Service Description
This course will look at several advanced operating techniques for the Shop Class CNC tool. Topics include: Creating a Repeatable and Accurate Starting Alignment Point for Two Bit Milling, Advanced CNC Set-up Techniques, and Importing Designs, and Exploring the Pro Design and App Libraries within the Easel Tool. The course is intended for those individuals who have completed the introductory course, and/or have utilized the Shop Class CNC tool already. There is an opportunity to register for a one-hour, one-on-one, mini course before this class if you have not used the Shop Class tool before. (It is the student's responsibility to contact the instructor to arrange a mutually agreeable time PRIOR TO the class date.) Instructor: Jim Karl is the owner of NC Live Edge in New Bern. He builds small and medium format live edge tables, as well as a myriad of serving and cutting boards. Jim utilizes the Shop Class CNC tool on a regular basis and has developed a modest expertise as he has worked through various techniques and set-ups to use in his product design. On most weekdays you can find Jim at Shop Class, and every Saturday at the New Bern Farmer's Market. Registration Fee: $75 (Class Only) $95 (Class plus one hour, one-on-one CNC basics primer for those with no prior CNC experience)
