Service Description

The Master’s Class – This course is designed to guide woodworkers with basic skills* in thinking and working their way through a project of their choice*. Instruction will include: • Developing a plan • Developing a “cut list.” • Wood purchasing with the cooperation of PrecisionMouldingandWoodwork.com. • Sequencing operations to complete the project. The course consists of four (4), three (3) hour classes. • !st class will be design and calculate board feet requirements. • 2nd class will be purchasing materials. • 3rd & 4th will be instructor guided “shop time.” Instructor: Master Woodworker Joe Clay brings 5 decades of woodworking experience, plus a very diverse background to the classroom. NOTE: Students receive free use of the shop until project completion. The course consists of 12 hours with an instructor, unlimited “shop time” during the project (normally $10 per hour), a maximum of 4 students, registration $285 plus materials. *Basic Skills - Shop Class’s Woodworking Fundamentals and Woodworking Joinery, or a firm grasp of lumber milling techniques and table saw basics. *Project Choice – Approved with instructor consultation. You may use Shop Class’s library or bring your own plans.
